Ninth Doctoral School on Latin American, European and Comparative Regionalism

Aims and Scope
Bringing together PhD students and other promising young researchers, the Ninth Doctoral School will deliver a series of lectures by leading academics in the field of Latin American, European and Comparative Regionalism, and afford the next generation of researchers the opportunity to discuss and develop their research projects in tutorial sessions.

Taking place in Quito from 13-17 July, the Doctoral School will additionally include a cultural and touristic programme. This opportunity will benefit doctoral students and other early-career researchers from across the social science spectrum, in various stages of their research projects, seeking answers to questions within the framework of Latin American, European or Comparative Regionalism.

The Doctoral School seeks to establish a network of researchers dealing with regionalism, based at universities across Latin America and beyond.

The Doctoral School is bi-lingual (English-Spanish).

Schedule
The Doctoral School runs from Monday to Friday. Lectures will be delivered in the mornings, with the tutorial sessions taking place in the afternoon sessions.

Tuition
The fee is US$450, with a reduction to US$350 for Latin American students.

The enrolment fee includes participation in all lectures and events, lunches and coffee breaks, however, participants must cover accommodation, breakfasts and dinners.

On-campus accommodation is possible with a special rate offered to participants of the doctoral school, contingent on availability.

A limited number of scholarships are available to cover the enrolment fee and on-campus accommodation.
